General Format

The General Format is for text-only manuscripts. The manuscript can be set to
whatever size the client requires with margins and gutters set at the correct dimensions for printing in that size. Sizes
include but are not limited to 6x9, 5.5x8.5, A5, 8.5x11, pocket book etc. The service includes spacing of text appropriate
for the style of the manuscript, paragraph indenting, chapter breaks, page numbering, and page headers in any style requested.
A title page and a copyright page will also be inserted if requested, along with any other preliminary pages the client may
require. During the formatting process, we will remove any incorrect formatting such as unnecessary carriage breaks, manual
double spacing, badly formatted tabs, and unnecessarily hyphenated words caused by new lines. The service will take approximately one week, and includes up to three revisions. However, it does
not include conversion to pdf; this is a separate service available on request.
Interior Book Design and Layout Service

This service includes all the options from the General Format service and is
suitable for manuscripts that include images and/or graphics. Appropriate manuscripts for this service include, but are not
limited to, technical works, biographies, historical manuscripts, memoirs, family histories, recipe books, etc. Images will
need to be sent separately from the text in jpeg or similar format. The images can be resized and will be inserted into the
manuscript where indicated by the author. This service does not include creation of any images or graphics, but it does include
re-sizing and positioning them to obtain the best overall design for the work. The service includes creation and/or manipulation
of text boxes to provide the best layout for picture captions, sidebars, or any other information outside the main body of
the text.
The service also includes the insertion and formatting of a table of contents, footnotes and endnotes
should they be required, conversion to pdf, and up to three revisions.
The cost of this service depends on the
size of the manuscript, the quantity of images and/or graphics to be included, and work necessary to design and create the
final ready-to-print manuscript. Please contact us for a free, no-obligation estimate.
No liability will be accepted for insertion of any images the creator does not
own or have permission to use.
The General Format and Advanced Format and Layout services can be purchased
in conjunction with an edit or as stand-alone services. If purchased without an edit, the price quoted is for a manuscript
of up to 80,000 words.
